Suspect arrested for armed robbery

WILMINGTON, NC, (WWAY) — Wilmington Police arrested a suspect for an Oct. 5 robbery and shooting of a 20-year-old Wilmington man. The victim told police 19-year-old Dillon Ray Morris of Wilmington and another white male approached him in a dark colored SUV in the 700 block of Campbell Street.

Morris and the other suspect left the vehicle and told the victim to give them his money and cell phone. The victim did what they asked, and ran. But the victim says they shot him in the leg anyway.

Morris is charged with Armed Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor plus several drug charges.

Police haven’t made any other arrests. Morris is in the New Hanover County Jail under a $100,000 bond.

I suppose he needed more money to buy pot. He is also due in court on pot and para charges along with contributing charges. But we all know that pot creates no violent tendencies and is certainly not addictive. Right, all you pot heads out there? Check out the dreads and facial expression on his mug.
