WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Special Olympics athletes kicked off their fall games this morning.
From bocce ball and races to soccer and tennis, athletes from around the region worked on honing their skills and making new friends.
The participants say socializing with friends is one of the best parts of the games.
“We have a lot of friends that are very caring,” participant Devon Mosley.
Participants of all ages came out to take part in today’s events at the Legion Sports Complex in Wilmington.
