Rivenbark in hospital for tests after fainting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington City Councilman Charlie Rivenbark was taken to the hospital yesterday after he passed out.

His campaign says it was due to a drop in blood pressure.

He is staying at the hospital for observation and testing, but is expected to be back on his feet by Monday.

The family is asking that no one visits him at this time.

Rivenbark is running in next month's municipal election trying to keep his seat on the city council.
