BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Bolivia woman faces several drug charges after Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics officers pulled her over, seizing over 50 grams of cocaine and an Escalade.

Last night, officers pulled over Sherry Marie Gilbert, 40, on Highway 17 near Calabash. Officers say the arrest comes after numerous complaints from community members sparked a brief investigation.

During the traffic stop, officers seized 57 grams of cocaine and a Cadillac Escalade. Gilbert is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver the drug, possession of marijuana, along with paraphernalia.

She is being held at the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $210,000 secured bond.

Any one want to bet she gets the Escalade back? Too much owed on it, someone else’s name on the title, etc??? She must be doing pretty well but doesn’t know how to be low profile. Put her picture on the front page and on the news several times so all the dopers will know she’s been busted and will be looking for a way out by providing substantial assistance to law enforcement. It will hurt the efforts of the cops but if she can’t snitch her way out it will at least get rid of her for a while.

She’s smiling in the picture because she knows that all they’ll do to her again is put her on probation, make her do community service. What better way to meet new customers than raking leaves in the park, or whatever community service is supposed to be.
