Stranger tries to pick up kids at Surf City bus stop

SURF CITY, NC (TOPSAILNEWSONLINE.COM) -- According to the Surf City police on Wednesday a white female pulled up to a bus stop at Cornel and Bunchberry (Dogwood Lakes subdivision) and asked a five and six year old if they wanted a ride to school.

The vehicle was described as a dark silver or pewter four door Ram 1500 truck with a loud/diesel exhaust. The driver was described as a white woman in her forties with brown hair.

Please tell me a 5 and 6 yr old were NOT at a busstop alone! When I was a busdriver we had rules. IF your child was that young you had to be there to put them on and take them off. IF NOT, we were NOT allowed to drop them off. I think you should post the Pender county bus rules on here!
