Two arrested in connection to Leland armed robbery

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC, (WWAY) -- Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested two in connection to an armed robbery that happened on Nov. 3 at a home on Hooper Road in Leland.

Alton Aireese Williams, Jr., 19, of Wilmington was arrested Thursday evening for robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempted first degree murder, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. No bond was set. Williams will make his first court appearance Friday.

Torrance Lemar Shaw, 20, of Leland was arrested at his home on Nov. 4 for robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Shaw is at the Brunswick County Detention facility under a $100,000 bond.

A third man is also wanted for questioning in connection with this robbery. Anyone with information should contact Detective Scott Bright with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office at (910)616-6240.
