Cucalorus Film Festival happening all weekend in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The fun starts an entire day early this year. Instead of kicking everything off Thursday night, Cucalorus organizers say they're starting the fun Wednesday.

Dance-a-lorus is one of the festival's most popular traditions. It is a communion of dance and film at which filmmakers pair with choreographers and dancers for a one-of-a-kind show.

Development Director Jill Tefft dropped by the GMC studio to talk about the noncompetitive film festival. She said Dance-a-Lorus is a favorite for participants and attendees. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. at Thalian Hall.

Films hit screens as early as 10 a.m Thursday. Get the whole schedule and ticket information here.
