BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The FBI and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are looking for new tips to find a teenage girl who has been missing for more than two years.

Rachel Natacha Owens was last seen getting into a car outside of South Brunswick High School in Boiling Spring Lakes on May 5, 2011. Investigators say Rachel rode the school bus to school, then got off the bus and was seen on surveillance video getting into a small, dark-colored car possibly with a South Carolina license plate.

The FBI says Rachel has run away in the past, but has never been gone this long. She has expressed a desire to go to Mexico and may be going by the name “Raquel.” She has not had contact with any family members or friends since the day she left her high school.

Anyone with information on where Rachel may be should contact Det. Holly Locklear with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 880-4950 or FBI Charlotte at (704) 672-6100.
