HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) -- Vendors enjoyed a different venue this Saturday at the Hampstead Women's Club Building. The club held a holiday craft fair that brings in artists from all over to one location.
Artists say these small fairs add a more personal touch to sales and target a specific, buying audience.
"It is the best way to market," said Topsail Island author Carol Ross. "I've tried marketing on the internet, but there is nothing like the personal touch of actually talking to people. Making it very personal what you want them to understand about your craft. One on one is the best way to market anything."
Vendors say these local venues are also less expensive than marketing online or in the mall.
