Wreaths Across America honors fallen soldiers in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wreaths Across America needs your help to reach their goal of placing 500,000 wreaths on veterans' graves in 2013.

Every time you help them honor veterans and active military, you are also honoring their families and preparing a new generation to appreciate American freedoms.

Wreaths Across America hopes to place a wreath on every grave at Wilmington National Cemetery during a Wreath Laying Ceremony Saturday, December 14.

There are still thousands of wreaths needed, as Cheryl Penney explained during an interview on Good Morning Carolina.
