WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are on the look out for a stolen pick-up truck with guns inside after dispatchers say it was stolen from outside the owner’s home overnight.

New Hanover County dispatchers say the black Ford F-150 extended cab truck was taken from the 600 block of S. 8th Street, where the truck’s owner parked it last.

The owner reported the crime early this morning, and dispatchers say the owner of the truck keeps his firearms inside. They say there are three guns inside the stolen truck, but are unsure of what kind.

Wilmington Police are investigating the larceny, as they stay on the look out for the truck matching its description.

This has got to be a BS line this person gave the police to make sure they look for the truck.

I as a gun owner can tell you the make model caliber location as well the location of the ammo for each gun I own and it is a lot more than three.
And most people that are gun owners can do the same, it not like it’s a zippo collection or a bunch of pound puppies it is firearms for Pete’s sake.
If this person is telling the truth when and if they find the truck if the guns are still there they need to keep them until this person can prove themselves to be more responsible gun owner. Maybe take a class or purchase a gun safe.

yep the old B.S. meter went nuts on that comment!

Leaving firearms in a vehicle on South 8th Street……….not a smart thing to do.
