WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Continuous shows with 20,000 twinkling lights, musical animations, special decorations, visits with Santa, new scenes and effects on the layouts, cider & cookies. What more could children of all ages ask for? That’s exactly what you’ll get if you show up to the Wilmington Railroad Museum for the Christmas Train & Light Spectacular. The event runs on the following days in December: 13, 14, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 from 6:30 to 8pm. Admission is just $5 for each ticket and kids younger than 2 are free.

You can also hop aboard for a Polar Express reading, thanks to the WWAY news team. We’re reading the Christmas Classic on the following days in December: 14, 15, 21, 22 at 4:30 & 5:30 pm. But it’s more than just story time. Attendees can visit with Santa afterward and get a special gift while enjoying hot chocolate. This event is by prepaid reservation and is only $5.
