Police say pepper spray used in two robberies

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police officers are looking for suspects they say used pepper spray in two separate robberies early Saturday morning.

Wilmington Police Department's Lt. Green says three young, black males approached a driver behind Crazy Horse on Market Street in Wilmington around 4:30 AM. The suspects reportedly tried robbing the driver with the use of pepper spray. The victim fought the men off, and the suspects fled without stealing anything.

Not long after that incident, officers responded to another robbery at 1621 Pavilion Place in Wilmington. Green says three males fitting the same description approached a victim who was washing his car. The suspects allegedly pepper sprayed the victim and stole his money. Green says one suspect was wearing a grey hoodie, a second suspect was wearing a black hoodie, and all three were in their teens or early twenties.

Police say no one is in custody at the time and officers are still investigating.

Sooner or later...

Listen, dumb criminals, don't take pepper spray to a gun fight. Hollow points rule! Clean up your act before your mommas and aunties have to say what good boys you WERE.

Too bad the victims didn't respond with gunfire towards these losers!
