NC gang conference to be held in Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE, NC (AP) -- A detective from Virginia will speak at a gang conference in North Carolina about the intersection of gangs and human trafficking victims.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in North Carolina's Eastern District is hosting the conference Friday in Mount Olive, along with law enforcement agencies, social service providers and school systems. About 250 people are expected to attend.

Detective William Woolf with the Fairfax County Police Department in Virginia is the keynote speaker, addressing connections between gangs and human trafficking.
