WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It was a day of dancing and frolicking for people of all ages at the Wilmington Arts Center. The Wilmington School of Ballet along with Cape Fear Dance Theatre hosted a free day of dance.

One dancer says she has been taking ballet since she was three, and thinks this is a great opportunity for those who may not be able to afford dance lessons.

“Everybody wants to dance,” Cayman Sanie explained. “So, programs like this really are a wonderful opportunity, and I’m so thankful they set this up for everyone.”

Some kids say their favorite part of the day was playing with the purple pom-poms and getting to dance the day away in their tutus.

“Free” dance lessons that we all pay for through the funding of the “Arts Council”? Thanks for giving us peons something back for our money, Artistic Overlords!!
