WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are looking for three people who allegedly pushed their way into a home early Sunday morning.

Several people inside the home were hurt. Now police need your help finding their attackers.

“We saw like three people come running up the house, and then it all just happened all so quickly,” Shane Berg said.

Berg lives with his roommates on Bladen Street in Wilmington. Sunday morning, he says three people pushed their way into his house and attacked his friends.

Berg says earlier in the day one of his roommates argued with some people walking by. He’s not sure if it was the same people who showed up around 5:30 a.m. Sunday and pushed in the front door,.

Roommate Taylor Hoch took the brunt of the beating.

“I was about to go to bed. I made some food and was going to sit down and eat it and went to the door, and there was a wrench to my head basically, to keep it simple,” Hoch said.

Two of Hoch’s other roommates suffered minor injuries. The roommates say this is generally a quiet neighborhood. They are just thankful things did not turn out worse.

“If it wasn’t for my friends in the living room, I don’t know what would have happened,” Hoch said.

A spokeswoman with the Wilmington Police Department says the two men and a woman who came to the house were driving a black Chevrolet Z71 truck with South Carolina tags. If you have any information, call WPD.
