WPD arrests four wanted by FBI

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police say they've arrested four people who were wanted in Greensboro and by the FBI.

A police spokeswoman says it started with officers pulling over a suspicious vehicle just before 11 p.m. on Stradleigh Road. Police say the driver was very nervous. When investigators ran the names of the people in the truck, they found they were wanted for several charges.

Madison Earl Howlett ($25,000 bond)
2 counts felony conspiracy
Driving while license revoked
Speeding
Obtaining property by false pretense
Exploiting the elderly
Communicating threats

Brian Wayne Gurganus ($20,000 bond)
2 counts obtaining property by false pretense
4 counts felony conspiracy
2 counts exploiting the elderly

Chelsea Renee Rose ($20,000 bond)
Failure to appear
2 counts larceny

Lindsey Leann Cole ($75,000 bond + $10,000 cash bond)
3 counts failure to appear
Felony possession of cocaine

Yes, on those charges. It's entirely possible that the crimes they are accused of committing could have taken place not only in Greensboro or Wilmington, but also possibly in another state. Going city to city, state to state is the kind of thing that will always be of interest to the FBI.
