Burgaw police break up ruckus


BURGAW, NC (WWAY) -- According to the Burgaw Police Department, officers responded to a call on Johnson Street Sunday afternoon where they found a large crowd. Officers attempted to disperse the crowd but, the group refused to obey lawful orders.

Authorities say the crowd became very hostile and aggressive. Police say the crowd began throwing rocks at the officers while they were arresting someone.

Multiple agencies responded including the Pender County Sheriff's Office, North Carolina Highway Patrol and the Wallace Police Department.

No names are being released as officers are continuing the investigation.

I guess they were carrying baseball bats to go play baseball too? They were walking down the road saying they were.going to beat someones f****** a**! Wow the language they are teaching those children in the strollers! What a wonderful way to raise your children! You should be so proud! Don't for a.officer next time you think you need one. Let them keep getting the drunk drivers and the speeders so they won't kill anyone out on the road! Take responsibility for your own behavior! Bring the video out if you are so sure you are right.
