Wilmington Wine & Chocolate Festival a treat for all

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- It's every girl's dream, a room full of chocolate and wine. But women weren't the only ones enjoying the fun at the Wilmington Wine and Chocolate Festival.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, men were browsing too, trying to figure out which tasty treats to buy their loved ones.

And if a weekend full of wine and chocolate isn't enough, the festival is also for a good cause with 100% of the proceeds going to support the services and the needs of seniors in our community.

“The Senior Resource Center provides them with transportation services to and from medical doctor visits, provides them with activities all day long. They have education classes,” Festival Coordinator Charlotte Rosenberg explained.

Rosenberg says they do not know yet how much money they raised this year, but she says they've had well over 3,000 attendees, and they are already gearing up for next year’s tasty event.

I couldn't believe that it

I couldn't believe that it cost $50.00 to go here on Friday nite and less on Saturday and Sunday. Going to a Festival should be free. Venders pay for their spots and they should want people to come in and buy from them. Would have love to go there on Sunday before the Super Bowl to get some great sweets back after see it on TV 3, no way would we go there and pay to get in to shop,,,,, Not fair
