Three Republicans already in race for New Hanover Co. Commission

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Filing to run for office this year is still a week away, but three Republicans have already begun their campaigns for New Hanover County Commission.

John Dismukes, Chuck Kays and Skip Watkins all have plans to run for two open commission seats. Those seats are held by Republican Tom Wolfe, who said last month he will not run for a full term after being appointed to the seat last year, and Libertarian Brian Berger, who has not yet announced his plans.

Candidate filing runs Feb. 10-28.

I will support anyone but friends of Weasel Woody White. He is a venomous character WHOSE DECEITFUL CAMPAIGN PRACTICES and whose conduct should be seriously questioned. He attacks when it suits him and he might find time to read a book on decency and ethics before he attacks others. Lets make sure none of these republicans are part of the same slimy crowd as white and dawson.

Jpaul you and I agree 100% on this!

Thank you, It is my honor to serve the people of New Hanover County. Through my work on the New Hanover County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, the Parks Conservancy of New Hanover County Inc. board of directors, and my full time job advising a partnership between Cape Fear Community College and NC Wesleyan College, I am in the unique position to help reduce our crime rate, lower our unemployment rate, and increase our quality of life. I will work on these issues while being a good steward of our tax dollars. Please visit my website: www.teamdismukes.com or facebook www.facebook.com/johndismukespage to find out more about me.
