Shots fired: Chestnut and N. 5th Streets


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Police are investigating two shootings in Wilmington.

Police say around 7:35 Wednesday evening they responded to the 1100th block of Chestnut Street to a report of shots fired.

They found shell casings at the scene but did not find any property damage to any vehicles or homes.

Minutes later officers heard more shots and headed towards the 300 block of N. 5th Street.

Police say they did not find any shell casings at that scene and that no one has been reported injured.

A witness said someone in a dark colored SUV fired.
