WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The 2014 Miss Wilmington was crowned Saturday night.

Hillary Laster won the contest that included interview, swimsuit, talent and evening gown competitions.

She will represent the city of Wilmington at events around the city and statewide throughout the coming year.

In an interview with Randy Aldridge on Good Morning Carolina, Miss Laster described her platform of support for the National Inclusion Project.

She will go on to compete in the Miss North Carolina pageant in June.

If she wins that pageant she will go onto the Miss America pageant.
