ROCKY POINT, NC (WWAY) — Fire crews are battling a blaze at a Rocky Point home that started in the early morning hours, according to Pender County dispatchers.

They say the flames started just after 5 a.m. at a home in the 1200 block of Highway 210. Dispatchers say three fire departments in Pender County responded to the scene to help put out the blaze, after it shut down roads in the area.

Dispatchers say they believe the home may have been abandoned. They say the roads that were closed because of the fire are back open this morning, and that a fire marshal is on the scene to investigate what may have caused the flames.
