Terrell Stanley upgraded to good condition

GREENVILLE, NC (WWAY) -- A former South Brunswick High School and current East Carolina University football player is improving at a Greenville hospital.

Terrell Stanley was seriously injured during a car accident Wednesday. ECU says he has been upgraded to good condition at Vidant Medical Center.

"Those who know Terrell fully understand he is a warrior with a relentless and passionate approach to life, both on and off the field," ECU coach Ruffin McNeill said in a news release. "I can speak for our entire Pirate family in extending our deepest gratitude for everyone who has Terrell in their thoughts and prayers."

The rising junior had been listed in critical condition after being transported to VMC's emergency room from the scene on US 264 Alternate.
