Country acts to play Azalea Festival Thursday concert

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Azalea Festival board says this year will be one to remember.

Not one, but three country singers will take hit the downtown concert stage Thursday, April 10. Randy Houser and Josh Thompson will open for headliner Justin Moore. They're making the Azalea Festival part of their 50+ Stop Tour.

Moore is known for songs like "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away" and "Point at You."

"We were lucky to get a spot on the tour late," Azalea Festival President Stephen Coble said. "And in the tour there was actually a cancellation somewhere else, and that's how we got them."

Tickets go on sale Saturday at 9 a.m. on the festival's website.

Widespread Panic will headline the festival's Friday and Saturday concert.
