UPDATE: WPD says call about stabbing turned out to be fight with scissors

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police are investigating an early morning call about a stabbing that they say sent one person to the hospital.

When police got to the scene at the intersection of 15th and Castle Streets around 7 a.m., they say they discovered that no one had been stabbed there. Police say instead, they found two men had gotten into a fight inside a home in the 1600 block of Castle Street, before it moved outside.

They say one man was holding a pair of scissors when the fight happened, leaving the other with minor scrapes and bruises. Police say one man was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for those injuries.

Wilmington Police are still investigating after they say witnesses at the scene did not cooperate with officers. No charges have been filed.

They complain when nothing

They complain when nothing is done about the violence in their neighborhoods, but refuse to cooperate. They just can't have it both ways.

witnesses at the scene

witnesses at the scene did not cooperate with officers? what a shock.

Bussiness as usual

Put up some news that's not expected.
This isn't a stabbing, it's a inner city handshake!

And gun shots are just a way of saying welcome to the neighborhood!!
Quit being racist, and understand it's how we greet you here!
