Man injured in afternoon shooting at 15th & Wooster streets


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police say one person was shot this afternoon at the corner of 15th & Wooster streets.

Investigators say the 32-year-old man is being treated at New Hanover Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they responded to a ShotSpotter alert just before 2 p.m. Witnesses told officers that two cars were involved in the shooting. The victim's vehicle was a white Nissan Maxima rental car with Virginia license plates. The other vehicle was described as a dark blue or black sedan.
