UPDATE: Police charge two men after foot chase, robbery at gunpoint

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Two men are behind bars after police say an armed robbery sent several officers on a search near the Forest Hills neighborhood last night.

It happened in the 2000 block of Confederate Drive just before 11 p.m. When officers got to the scene, they say the victim told them he was robbed at gunpoint by a group of men.

Police say when they set up a perimeter to search the area, they spotted some men who then took off running. That's when police say they found two ski masks and a fully loaded handgun near railroad tracks nearby.

Officers eventually found the duo, and charged them both with the crime. Dathan McIntyre, 25, is charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, and Terrence McIntyre, 24, is charged with both armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Dathan is in the New Hanover County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond, and Terrence is in jail under a $75,500 secured bond. Jail records show that Terrence is also charged by another agency for a failure to appear. Records also show that the two will both appear in court today.
