WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police arrested a man who was caught breaking into a car in Wilmington last night after they say a witness followed the suspect to a nearby store while reporting the crime to dispatchers.

They say just after 10:30 p.m., a man called to report a larceny on S. 10th Street. Police say dispatchers told them the caller was following the suspect who had just broken into a car nearby. They say the caller continued following the man to the corner of 10th and Chestnut streets, where the suspect then walked into a store.

That’s when police say officers showed up and found several items that had been stolen from inside the car on the suspect, Tracy L. Greene, 43. Police arrested Green, charging him with breaking and entering.

…the judges and the DA’s need to lock this putrid vermin away for the remainder of his life. The police in this town do their best to apprehend the criminals only to see the court system kick them back out on the street again with one goal, to commit more crime. That’s the ONLY reason someone is able to accumulate a rap sheet like this!

That is how it is done. Look how a little community involvement led to the criminal being caught. Too often the residents in that area of town “Don’t see nutfin”

Old Tracey has a NINE PAGE wrap sheet — he’s got numerous felony convictions for stealing, drug dealing, and crazy driving (drunk, high, reckless and never with a license). WWAY please followup on the judge on this time and make sure he’s put away for a long time.
