WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Cape Fear Garden Club's annual Azalea Garden Tour begins Friday.
If privacy is what you're after, you'll want a garden like the Nir family at 413 Forest Hills Drive. A canopy of azaleas shades you from the sun, and paths walk you through the garden, making you forget you're in a neighborhood. Even their front yard in the Forest Hills neighborhood boasts privacy.
"I love this garden, because its intricate pathways and all sorts of secret nooks and little seating areas where you can stop and different plants in every category," gardener Sarah Anderson said.
Anderson says though the cold weather posed a lot of problems, there is a silver lining. It kept buds nice and tight, so they weren't damaged by frost and will bloom beautifully.
