WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Neil McEachern House at 214 N. 6th St. is certainly one of a kind, and it’s part of this year’s Historic Home Tour.

Built in 1904, this home is decked out in antiques and period pieces. The owner says this grand home was built for Wilmington businessman Neil McEachern and his family of eight children. It was eventually sold to Ruth and Shields Tabb, who rented out rooms to African-Americans during a time when racial tensions were high in the area.

After it was abandoned for several years, the current owners restored the home to its original beauty.

The Historic Home Tour is Saturday and Sunday. Click here for ticket information.
