OGDEN, NC (WWAY) -- New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Papa John’s Pizza in Ogden around 11:25 Friday evening.

Reports say an employee was alone in the store when he felt the suspect press an unknown object to the back of his head.

The suspect demanded money from the safe and cash register. After the employee handed him the money, the suspect ordered him into the office and escaped through the back door.

Reports say the employee described the suspect as a Black Male approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a black hoodie, dark clothing, a ski mask or dark scarf across the face.

Sheriff’s CSI Detectives responded and processed the scene. Sheriff’s K9 was able to track to a nearby residence where fresh tire tracks were located.

The investigation is ongoing.
