WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police say they are investigating after a man stole a car from the Costco parking lot Sunday morning.

Investigators say the victim was in his car with the door slightly ajar, when the suspect threatened to shoot him, then told him to get out.

The suspect drove off in the white Chevy Malibu with a North Carolina license plate that reads CFB-5226.

Police describe the suspect as a white man, over six feet tall, and weighing about 215 pounds. They say they have not been able to locate him or the vehicle.

If you have any information call Wilmington Police.

I hardly ever go into

I hardly ever go into wilmington, but when i do i carry EXTRA concealed weapons in addition to my backup weapons, and i HOPE some THUG tries to assault and rob me cause imma ventilate his old peanut head with a 10mm and send him up to that big waddymelon patch in the sky augh yeah folks :DDD

Glad to hear crime is down?

While walking downtown over the weekend I couldn't help but notice all the area gangbangers hanging around.

The reason I noticed it was because I retired from Los Angeles 2 years ago as a captain with the Gang Unit there.
I also talked with several WPD,and Sheriffs Deputies while downtown and tried to give them a few ideas on how to make it uncomfortable for the Thugs to prowl freely.
Their exact words to me were "that will never happen here, we wait till it blows up in our faces! Then we react."
Law enforcement around here are scared to do their jobs!! If this isn't solved "Quickly"!
You folks haven't seen anything yet!!! You better have public forums, partner with outside agencies, or just put the right officials in office, or you will suffer crime like this place has never seen!!

Uhhh.. Facts?

Crime IS down in Wilmington. The gang-bangers that are being stopped are from other counties, mainly Brunswick and Columbus. Wilmington's fine thugs have been contained, it's keeping the dirty trash out of here that is the problem.

Crime IS down ?

If their being accosted here, crime is up. Sounds like crime is down in Brunswick and Columbus. Just saying ....

Columbus county still

Columbus county still refuses to believe they have a gang problem, with real crips and bloods.
