WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Police are searching for a man they say jumped over the counter at a Wilmington Walgreens, held a pharmacist at gunpoint, before getting away with the prescription pills he demanded.
Officers say it happened at 4:20 p.m. at the Oleander Drive Walgreens Pharmacy. That's where police say the man walked inside the store and jumped through the pharmacy window.
Once he was behind the pharmacy counter, police say the man then pointed a black handgun at the pharmacist on duty and demanded oxycodone. Police say the man left the store through the back door, taking off on foot from the area.
They say no one was hurt during the robbery, but they are still searching for the man, who is described as being in his mid-30s, weighing about 160-170 lbs. with an olive complexion and black beard. Officers say the man was wearing a black hat, shirt and jacket, with brown pants at the time of the robbery.
If you have any information, call the Wilmington Police Department.
