WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they say three people robbed a woman at gunpoint near a Wilmington convenience store, getting away with a pizza and her bag.

It happened just after 3 a.m. near a gas station at the intersection of 17th and Market streets, where police say an 18-year-old woman was walking with a pizza box.

Police say the woman told officers that three men approached her while she was walking, one with a silver handgun. They say when the trio demanded money from the woman, they snatched her bag and pizza box and took off running in an unknown direction.

Wilmington Police say they do not have any suspect information, but that they continue investigating.

An 18-year-old getting a pizza at 3AM at a convenience store? And they took off running in an “unknown” direction? And she was right there but couldn’t see what direction they took off running in?

Not so sure this passes the sniff test.

I don’t usually comment on any news related material but this one left me shaking my head. I agree. How can three men take off and you not know in which direction? Furthermore, who eats pizza at 3am? Things that make you go hmmm.

I’m calling b/s to this chick’s story. Well, either b/s or she needs psychiatric help. 3:00am out on the corner at the Stab and Grab? And “unknown direction” kills me. This girl should NEVER be left alone.
