30+ guns confiscated after Bladenboro backyard nightclub raid

BLADENBORO, NC (WWAY) -- Investigator James Daniels of the Bladenboro Police Department says more than 30 guns, including an assault rifle, were confiscated before the night was over during a raid on Butler Mill Road.

Police say Morris Bellamy Jr. and his father were hosting huge parties in their back yard, setting up a make-shift nightclub and charging cover and selling alcohol to minors. Police have been keeping track of the parties for a few months seeing fliers posted on social media.

Five agencies came together for the raid including the Bladenboro and Elizabethtown Police Departments.

Here's a good question where were all the drugs? Obviously they were tipped off about the "raid". Anyone with half a brain would have known that.

Potential for Violence

Thirty guns, including an assault rifle!

The noise! The underage drinking! The potential for drunken mayhem.

I shudder to think what would have happened had anyone at that nightclub/party been dissed.

What Bladen needs is county-wide beer and wine sales and fewer gun ownership restrictions.

"An alcoholic drink in one hand, and a firearm in the other."

This should be Bladen's motto.
