WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– Crews put out flames at a home on the north end of Carolina Beach late last night after dispatchers say a neighbor called to report the fire.

They say the call came in a little after 10 p.m. reporting the blaze at 103 Virginia Avenue. Police and fire crews responded, quickly putting out the flames before 11 p.m.

Crews say the fire is believed to have started in the attic.
