Airport Authority cancels meeting to discuss member's ouster

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The New Hanover County Airport Authority has canceled a special meeting slated for tonight. The authority was scheduled to talk about getting rid of one its members.

Notice of the meeting's cancellation was given this morning without reason

YesterdayChairman Thomas Barber said the meeting was to decide whether to recommend removal of board member Al Roseman.

Barber would not elaborate on the concerns the authority has about Roseman other to say that there were concerns enough to warrant a meeting to discuss them.

Roseman has not yet returned a call for comment.

someone acted without thinking. I believe the Authority does not have the right to remove an appointed member.
