BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was stabbed to death this morning.

Investigators say it was a case of domestic violence with a fatal ending.

The stabbing took place at trailer at 67 Goodman Rd. off of US 17 west of Leland around 10 a.m.

"I'm turning myself in, because I just stabbed my boyfriend, because he was assaulting me," a woman told 911 as she broke down in tears. She told the operator her boyfriend was "bashing my head into the wall," so she stabbed him with a knife in the chest.

The Sheriff's Office says the man killed was Johnathan Quincy Allen, 24. They confirmed his girlfriend's name is Talisha McLeod.

Friends and family did not want to speak on camera, but a coworker said Allen and his girlfriend moved into this trailer about a week ago.

Investigators have released few details about what happened. They did say they had a woman in custody for questioning, but so far no charges have been filed. They have decided to turn it over to the District Attorney's office.
