WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating reports of shots fired after New Hanover County Dispatch says their search turned up nothing last night.

Dispacthers say ShotSpotter sounded just before 11 p.m. in the 1900 block of Colwell Avenue. They say officers searched the area, but found no evidence of the crime there.

Wilmington Police say no one was hurt, and that investigators continue investigating.
