Hannah Connaway’s condition improving

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– The teenager who police said was beaten nearly to death by her boyfriend is doing better.

New Hanover County Regional Medical Center said Hannah Connaway was in fair condition Tuesday.

Police said on May 23, Michael Hutton choked and beat Connaway so badly that she had to undergo brain surgery and be put in a medically-induced coma.

Hutton is charged with attempted murder and in jail under a $1 million bond waiting for trial.

    To pass judgment on why this is in the news is pathetic. It is news worthy as it is an example of why one should never be to aware of their company. Based on your comments your company must be your mom cause you are the only one that could stand around your attitude. Don’t be a jerk!

    My guess is that had this been an “unattractive” young woman, the local news media would not continue to update this event. My speculation is that narcissism and violence are the bedrock foundation this volatile relationship was built on. A common occurrence in modern American culture.
