I saw this incident happen and he looked like he may have been homeless and probably drunk. It was a horrific accident and I still can not get the image of that man out of my mind. Nor can I stop thinking about the driver that hit him. She was so terrified and grief stricken. My heart goes out to both the victim and the driver and their family's. No one should die like that no matter if they live in a tent in the woods or in a 5 million dollar mansion. A man is dead and a innocent woman will have to live with the fact that she killed a man through no fault of her own.

This man was not homeless, nor was he drunk. He was the father of a friend of mine. The entire family was on vacation and they were to leave the next morning. He was carrying some of their belongings out to the car to pack them up.
Thanks for your assumptions. Homeless and drunk. Always looking on the bright side, are we?

That's A BAD AREA FOR CROSSING ON FOOT. WILL ONLY GET WORSE WITH O'Rileys moving in there on the corner. Traffic signals have, and now, more than every, need to be readjusted to accomodate the traffic flow there. Traffic control should be addressed BEFORE the business is built. No matter the situation, it's sad when something like this happens. It affects so many innocent people's lives.

I just hope its not a Walmart associate. I know a lot of them live near there and walk to work.
