WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Spring Flea Market at the Brooklyn Arts Center kicked off Friday night by welcoming crowds to shop around for unique and vintage treasures.
Over forty vendors set up shop in the renovated church to share their artsy side with the community. Executive Director Rich Leder said there are two important reasons people should come by and check it out.
"First, best shopping anywhere. Best spring shopping anywhere is here this weekend," he said. "Second, this is a local community event. These vendors are our neighbors, they live here, so you're shopping local, you're buying local, you're keeping the money here, you're keeping the cycle of great going here in our town."
The Spring Flea Market is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. George Elliott stopped by to check it all out!
