WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — “The Longest Ride” hits the streets of Wilmington next week as shooting starts for the latest Nicholas Sparks book turned movie

The story takes us back in time. Folks working on the movie are looking to rent your antique cars. They need around 100 vehicles from the 1930s and ’40s.

The movie’s car coordinator Tim Walters says they will pay you to use them with prices varying on model.

Walter says this is an example of the boost film incentives have on the local economy.

“My thoughts on the film incentives is we are hoping they pass the bill to keep film incentives,” he said. “Without that we or a lot of people would have to travel out of town for work and other places.”

They are especially interested in big trucks. If you have an antique car and are willing to rent call Tim Walters at (910) 444-2896 or e-mail pictures to tlrcars@aol.com.
