WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The show will go on at Browncoat Theatre this weekend, as a new production takes audiences on a journey through the transitions of growing up when the coming-of-age story comes to life on stage.
The play, "Boys' Life," follows three longtime friends through the struggles they face when taking the plunge into more responsibility, along with the many difficulties that come with getting older and finding ways to navigate through the unknown.
Focusing on the trio's introduction into middle age, the production takes audiences inside humorous insight before getting right to the thick of it, with the sobering realities adulthood can bring.
Nick Smith, the play's director, stopped by Good Morning Carolina this week to tell us all about what it was like to see it all take shape, and what went into making the story a reality on stage.
Watch the full interview for more information, and visit browncoattheatre.com for tickets and showtimes. The "Boys' Life" cast takes the stage starting at 8 p.m. each night through Saturday, with a Sunday matinee at 5 p.m. The production runs through the end of the month.
