BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — The family of a missing girl spoke out Saturday in hopes of finding answers.

It has been three years since Rachel Owens’s parents have seen their daughter. She was last seen in May of 2011 when she got off a school bus at South Brunswick High School and got into a car with someone and drove away. She has not had any contact with her family or friends since.

The Owens family believes any information now is better than none.

“We love her and miss her, and if she is listening, we want her to know that we want her back in our lives,” Rachel’s father Kenneth Owens said. “We want to know she’s well and any help we can get from anyone, we deeply appreciate it.”

Detective Sgt. Candi West says this is still a missing person investigation until they receive any new information.

If you have any information, please contact the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.

Come on WWAY. You do an important story on a missing girl and never show a full size photo of her on screen.
