WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Trailers and trucks lined 4th and Ann Streets in downtown Wilmington this morning as the movie “The Longest Ride” started shooting.

The Nicholas Sparks book turned movie will film in Wilmington and Winston-Salem the next 10 weeks.

Crews will shoot scenes around the Port city, starting today at St. Mary Catholic Church with a 1950s flashback scene.

    Happy that Nicholas Sparks picks North Carolina for filming look at all the money comming in to our towns , I feel Blessed he keep the money close to home
