BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a Southport woman they’d been looking for after they say she broke into a car.

Deputies arrested Betty Jo Randolph, 48, of Southport, yesterday for breaking or entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny and obtaining property under false pretense.

Detectives wanted Randolph for breaking into a car on Long Beach Road June 13. Earlier this week investigators released surveillance photos and asked for helping finding the suspect.

Randolph is currently being detained in the Brunswick County Detention facility under a $10,000 bond.

I find it somewhat comical that the “Victim” whose wallet was stolen has a mugshot himself. Actually, a few mugshots, as he has been arrested previously for several things. He has a court date in August for driving with a revoked license. So my question is, was HE in fact the one BREAKING THE LAW when he drove to the store where he wallet was stolen from?
