WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say a man was robbed at gun point after the fireworks early Saturday morning.

Police say the male victim met a woman during the show and the pair planned to head back to her house just after 2 a.m. While the couple was walking, the victim says they were approached by three men near S. 5th Avenue and Meares Street.

The victim says the men pointed a black handgun at him, so he gave them cash, his cell phone, cigarettes and the alcohol he had just purchased.

He says the suspects fled and the woman he was with chased after them and never returned.

The victim told police the suspects were wearing all black, with black bandannas and hoodies. He says two of the suspects were between 18- 20 years old and were about 4’7″- 5′ tall. He says the other man was about 22- 26 years old and between 5’3″ and 5’8″.
