Head-on accident shuts down N. Kerr

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Two children were injured in a head on crash Thursday morning.

The crash shut down part of North Kerr Avenue. It sent several people to the hospital.

Witnesses said when they heard the crash, they jumped into action, pulling an infant and lifeless toddler from the car.

They said they performed CPR and were able to get the toddler breathing again.

A family friend reached out to WWAY and said the infant is in stable condition. The toddler is still at Chapel Hill with more serious injuries.

There is no word yet on what caused the crash.

Really Stupid

It is really stupid of WWAY to "recommend" a news story (this one) on January 29, 2015. This happened July 10, 2014. It's old and I don't care.

Wake up WWAY!!
